Earned 7 Varsity letters - All-GWOC quarterback on a Co-Championship team as well as being Captain and MVP - #1 starter in XHS pitching rotation for 3 years with All-League honors for 2 years - Listed as Top 100 Player in Ohio - Academic and baseball scholarship to University of Dayton where he earned a degree in civil engineering - 4-year UD letter winner, two-time Captain and two-time All-A-10 pitcher, single season and career leader in wins - Drafted by NY Yankees - XHS Senior Class VP - Ranked 7th in Class of 2002 with 4.5 GPA

Earned 6 varsity letters while achieving the rare accomplishment of being chosen as MVP in all three Varsity sports as well as earning All-WOL honors in all three sports - All-Southwest District Special Mention in football - Threw for 2003 yards and 20 TD's in 1987 - Batting average of .408 as a senior and career average of .367 - Received D-I football scholarship to Ball State University - Received team scholastic honors for football and basketball - Finished in top 5% in graduating Class of 1988

All-League golfer in 2001 and 2002 as well as GWOC Player of the Year in 2002 - Qualified for the State High School Championship 2002 .... first Xenia golfer to qualify in 44 years - At Otterbein College, won National Freshman Player of the Year D-III honors in 2004 as well as National Player of the Year D-III honors in 2007 - Set Otterbein record with 11 career tournament victories - Two-time Ohio Athletic Conference Champion - Inducted into Otterbein Hall of Fame, 2012 - Received numerous Academic All-American honors

Earned 10 varsity letters and a 3-year starter in all varsity sports - Defensive MVP in football as well as All-MVL - All-MVL in basketball as a junior and All-MVL, Co-Captain, and All-State Honorable Mention as senior - Played on two MVL league championship teams and a District Championship team - Received scholarship to Central State and was a 4-year letterman in basketball and a Co-Captain - Coached basketball at Cedarville, Wilbur Wright, and while at Meadowdale, coached 5 Dayton City League champions and the 1979 District Champs

Arguably the greatest swimmer in XHS history - Four-time GWOC 1st Team and Swimmer of the Year, Four-time All-Ohio and two-time NISCA All-American - YMCA national record in 400m Free, 2015 - Qualified for Olympic Trials, 2016 and 2020 - Placed 8 times at the State Swimming championships after multiple 1st places at the GWOC championships - Holds 10 records at XHS - Scholarship to University of Kentucky - Scored in 11 events at the SEC Championships and holds 200 and 400 LCM Free records at UK - Honor Roll student at XHS and UK
Ted and Karen Lowry
Community and Athletic Contributors - 2022
XHS graduates Ted and Karen have devoted themselves selflessly for over 35 years to the operation of Xenia sports and its facilities - Karen was secretary of the first "All-Sports Booster" organization, 1987-1990 - Karen worked in and scheduled workers for the concessions, sold tickets, worked parking, and raised funds for all sports while working for 7 AD's - Ted was not only involved in much of the aforementioned but worked security as well - Ted finished 4th in floor exercise at the State gymnastics competition, 1967 - Ted is a Vietnam Vet and served his country in the U.S. Army, 1969-71

The rare transformative figure who was a primary force while ushering in the Golden Decade of Xenia football in the 1960's - Established a weight and nutrition program which led to the development of numerous All-State and All-American players - Inducted into the Eaton HS Hall of Fame and the Preble County Athletic Hall of Fame - An All-State athlete and 3-year football letterman at the University of Cincinnati - Inducted into the Xenia Hall of Honor in 2000 after having served over 20,000 students - Served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant -"Coach" leaves a legacy of discipline, fairness, and unselfish service
Kenneth "Hubba" Phoenix
Community and Athletic Contributor - 2002
As a 1964 XHS graduate and athlete, Ken devoted himself selflessly over 29 years in the Wee Bucs program and as Head Coach of the Shawnee Braves - Ken's teams reached the Super Bowl 15 times and won the championship 9 times - More importantly, Ken was a role model, on and off the field, for over 2000 aspiring young athletes who have succeeded immensely in their professional lives - Received his BS from Central State University and his MS from Central Michigan University - Served his country not only as a contracting officer at WPAFB but also as a Vietnam Veteran in the 25th Infantry Division and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star - Ken and his supportive wife, Joanne Scott Phoenix, were married 49 years

One of four teams from 1958-1962 which had a combined record of 84-7 and three MVL championships and set the standard for basketball excellence in the 1960's - This team finished the MVL with a 7-0 record and defeated league opponents by an average of 26 points - This team won the Dayton District tournament and was led by All-MVL players Ted Day and Bernie Hutson and by All-MVL Honorable Mention players Mike Muterspaw and Ronnie Randall - Ted Day garnered 3rd Team All-State honors and Bernie Hutson achieved All-State Honorable Mention - The head coach was XHS Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Bill Kaylor
